Flavours remind me of a Cotes du Rhone (as JS points out). Earthy, slightly herbal and peppery, with notes of dried fruit and cherry. Some firm tannin on the finish. Vintages catalogue states $15.95 but this is being sold for $12.80, which is super value. A bit rough around the edges, but I really liked the authenticity of this wine. Back for more. Tasted June 2014.
