The 2010 Mendel Malbec has intense aromas of charred wood, cigar box, clove and black cherry. It is a medium bodied, extra-dry, fruity to integrated wine; with forward acidity, tight tannins (decant for 30-60 min) and a medium to long finish. This is a sipping wine; drink 2014 – 2018 (cellaring potential +1 pt). My impression: NICE to BEAUTIFUL, 90(+1) pts – recommended for its quality. Tasted Nov/13.

Certainly elegant, refined, and balanced. Juicy acidity, red fruits, potpourri, a little vanilla. Very solid.
