Blackcurrant, spices and mint on the nose. It has lots of fruit, is medium bodied, with subdued tannins, and is well-balanced.
Medium-high aromas with earthy, green, black cherry, and hint of brett (barnyard) notes. Full-bodied with sweet ripe black fruits and gentle oak spice flavours. Tannins are big, yet very smooth and integrated. Very good acids and finishing long. Fine value at this price! Tasted Apr/2014.
A very ripe Malbec, dominated by flavours of sweet cherries and hints of oak. Simple, and approachable. Certainly nothing wrong with this wine, just rather faceless with too much residual sugar (7g) to be really enjoyable, in my view anyway. ok for the price. Tasted March 2014.
