Sauvignon Blanc is not a grape strongly associated with the Okanagan Valley; however, Sumac Ridge has been producing this grape for some time with some success. Their 2012 is appealing with a supple structure offering a gentle nose of angel food cake, watermelon seeds and cucumber peel. A fine Sauvignon Blanc for the picnic basket while tramping along on a Sunday afternoon. Drink up.
