This one definitely speaks its origin. 70% Grenache, 30% Syrah, this one is pure Southern Rhone with big fruit as well as the meaty, savoury notes. The nose is loaded with big black fruit (blackberry, fig), grilled meat (smoky), anise, and scorched earth. On the palate, it's medium-full bodied (the nose suggests something bigger) with medium+ acidity and medium+ tannins that fine but lingering and grippy. You can hang on to this one for 5-8 years. Top notch wine that can hang with Chateauneuf-du-Papes. Tasted September 2014
