This is really quite a pleasant Shiraz, typically big bold and fruit forward. However, the finish a tad bit short for that price range and the tannins are a bit tempered, while the alcohol is still a bit hot. Overall, it is quite easy to drink now, but i don't see the structure there that may allow it to age much past what it is at now, which is actually quite unfortunate given the depth and richness of the fruit. And while I agree with David's note on the tension and dynamism i feel at this price point it is a bit lacking and somewhat unsophisticated.
Like a lot of people on Wine Align, I come here to find nice bottles of wine so I'm not shooting in the dark at the LCBO.
Saw David's review and grabbed a bottle for Christmas dinner and it worked out great. Definitely full of flavor and a great bang for your buck.
