This Prugnolo Gentile lives up to its moniker - quite gentle. Garnet with a hint of brick on the edges. A succulent, food friendly wine withy good acidity. Flavours of sweet cinnamon, cedar, tobacco leaf, cherry, tea, pepper, herbs and anise. Quite savoury with a bitter mid palate and an edgy finish. Excellent length. Try with tomato based pasta sauces. Dec. 2014.
