The 2011 Vina Maipo Vitral Chardonnay Reserva, aged in French Oak for undisclosed length of time, has appealing aromas of limestone minerality, lime, green apple, gooseberry and light coconutty creaminess. It is a medium bodied, extra-dry/dry, fruity wine; with good acidity, and a medium to long, creamy finish. This is a food friendly wine, but will please on its own; drink now – 2020. My impression: NICE, 88-89 pts – recommended for its quality and value. This product is discontinued for $2 off. BUY BUY BUY. Tasted Mar/14

Peach, papaya, red apple and spice on the nose bring great balance of ripe fruit here. That fleshy peach component is most obvious on the medium-bodied palate, with the ripe red apple component working very well with pear, spice and a hint of brown sugar.
