A really excellent red for the price, not sophisticated or complicated but a nice clean red that everyone can enjoy. Good for catering large events

I understand this is the best selling Italian wine at LCBO but there are a lot better Italian $7 wines on the shelf right next to this one. (Try Farnese Fantini Sangiovese and Casal Thaulero Sangiovese). I found it drinkable but a tad unbalanced and with a slightly harsh/acrid finish. Perhaps it needs the right food to compliment it but I'd say if you are looking for something versatile or to drink on its own, keep looking.
