This is a 5 year old Madeira that is a rich tawny brown colour with gold highlights. The aromas of dark raisins, oak and prunes has nutty overtones from the oxidation. This is a full-bodied wine with rich dried fruit flavours that has some toffee and a hint of chocolate on the long, very hot finish. Pair this with fruitcake, dried fruit, strong cheddars or aged goudas.
