A deliciously fresh Syrah from the team at Road 13 that has done a nice job marrying wood spice from oak and the inherent properties spice of Syrah. Unbaked cinnamon bun dough (cinnamon for me is a stand out for Okanagan Valley reds), dried spearmint, cola, camphor and blueberry jam delight the nose and ease their way onto the palate. The tannins are well handled and are easy enough to crack at this early stage. Drink over a casual lunch with an ever so slight chill on the bottle.
