Nice cherry, dried fruit and herbs on the nose and palate. It's really smooth and caressing with a little pepper on the finish. Probably needs a year or two for the flavours to develop, but who can wait...amazing value. (21.95)
The 2011 Rosewood Pinot Noir, aged in new and seasoned oak for 9 months, has intense aromas of raspberry, smoke, toasted wood and vanilla. It is a medium bodied, extra-dry, fruity wine; with forward acidity, subtle to refined tannins (decant for 15 min) and a long, moderately wood influenced finish. This is a food friendly wine; will reward 2014/15-2018 (evolution potential +1). My impression: NICE, 88(+1) pts. Tasted Nov/13.
