A lovely, crisp, slightly bready Crémant - a winsome summer sipper or pair it perfectly with seared, lemony scallops....

Smooth, well balanced & simply delicious. This should please a wide range of taste buds.

Description: Pale straw in colour with a medium intense nose and fine mousse. This sparkling wine features lightly buttered toasted brioche, yeast, lemon/lime, pink grapefruit, green apple, McIntosh apple, pear, lemon grass and limestone. Medium body with good acidity and a long length.

Negatives: None

Drink now or in the next 5 years on its own or pair it with Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict with Dill Hollandaise.

Nice and with no obvious flaws, but thoroughly unremarkable otherwise. There are better examples of Cremant at this price point.

Color is a modest yellow-gold with overly-large bubbles (for a methode traditionelle) fizzing from primarily the dimple at the bottom of the flute.
There is a faint breath of white bread but fills the nose with tart green apples, lemony notes and honey. These flavors carry through to the dry finish making it easy to go back for more. Tasty, but not a show-stopper. Tasted 25-Dec-2010

Pear and citrus on the nose are complimented with a fuller biscuity aroma and a touch of minerality. The mousse is lively and the wine has a crisp finish. This would be a good sparkling to pair with food. Brunch anyone?
