good value
Delicious! Yes, the alcohol is high, but if you let it sit for a while... Then you will enjoy a suprisingly beautiful wine, with a fruity presence and deep complexity rarely found at this price level.
A rather polished offering for the price that makes it a real crowd pleaser. However, it's still evocative of southern France. Full to medium-bodied with lots of dark fruit, spice, and earth-driven notes. The long, clean finish makes this value buy stand out for me.

A solid wine with powerful tannin and amble grip. Flavours need more time to develop. Currently rustic in nature.
Dense and fruit forward with quite a tannic bite. Flavours are concentrated with some complexity but also quite confected which is not something I enjoy particularly. the finish has some length but enjoyment is cut a bit short by the burst of astringency. Still, overall a decent wine for the price.
Very deepply coloured, this red from southern France has ample ripe fruit, notes of earth, black pepper and herbs. Alas, those positives are marred by some bitter astrignency and noticeable alcohol. Perhaps time will soften the astrigency, but I wouldn't bet on it. A decent wine, but really doesn't provide alot of joy. Tasted Dec 2013.
The bottle I tasted had to have something wrong with it. Nothing wet about the smell, it was quite nice actually. However the taste was similar to glue/paint thinner. I left it to try the next day to see if I was wrong, but it was just as bad. Was I the only one?
