Really nice and the price belies the quality.

At peak in summer '16: length, complexity, refinement and still nice weight with no funky aged flavours and no longer a burly brute. If you like petit verdot, a winner and worth the wait. Wish I had half a dozen more

Oh my!!! What a great wine for $15.95 definitely worth grabbing a few while they last. Tasted September 2013.

This wine hits all the notes that New World wine lovers love. Black fruit, a bit of floral notes, vanilla, a bit of baking spice, and chocolate. Tannins are a little much, but it's manageable to drink on its own as the fruit and oak make it nice and friendly. Excellent length on the finish. I would have decanted this one if I had thought about it, but it worked. Seriously well made wine, plus the price makes it one of those wines you can't miss. Tasted September 2013

Petit Verdot is not often done in such a restrained and approachable style.

A clean, balanced wine with floral notes, rich fruit and nice tannis, with above average length with nicely integrated oak.

I wouldn't think this would benefit much from cellaring, but will likely hold over a few years.

Excellent value.

Tasted September 2013.

Big and bold and reasonably smooth, it does not quite have the complexity to rate a ninety in my opinion. But a decent value for the price. (89)

UPDATE: I tried it again, after time in the carafe. I tasted a lot more complexity, so I will raise the score to 90. Excellent value.

Totally delivers for the price. A big solid wine that somehow has been refined to be smooth...but there's a beast waiting to be set free behind the curtain. Pretty cool expression of Petit Verdot.

Ruby red with a slight opaqueness. Medium to full bodied mouthfeel. Spice, bitter herbs and oak blend well with the pronounced fruit and acidity for a nicely balanced wine. Complex with good length. Tannins strut their stuff, so decant for an hour and chill a bit to tame the high alcohol. All the elements are there for a high score, so my sub 90 rating is more a reflection of my personal bias (not a big fan of the Petit Verdot boisterousness) than the quality of the wine. This wine has the stuff to age mid term, or just grip it n' sip it! Sept. 2013.

Beautiful dark red colour. Strong alcohol and liquorice notes on the nose. Medium tannins with lots of dark berries. A nice wine for the price.

Not bad, but a little too acidic for my taste.

Nose of cassis and tastes of various dark fruit. Very nice. Tasted Nov-14, but this could have waited a few more years to fully come together. Likely a 90 in a year or two.

The 2011 Emiliana Novas Petit Verdot, an organic wine, has intense aromas of yogurty black cherry, vanilla and notable wood. It is a medium bodied, extra-dry, integrated wine; disconnected with good acidity, grippy/tight tannins (decant for 1+ hours) and a medium to long, smooth, overoaked finish. It is a food friendly, savory wine; it will benefit from cellaring for couple of years; drink 2016-2020. My impression: NICE, 88 pts. Tasted Jan/14.

Just ok, 2 hrs of decanting didn’t soften it at all, maybe it’s just petit Verdot isn’t my thing...
