This pleasant apricot coloured rose blend of gamay and pinot noir from the Okanagan offers a bouquet of red fruits. Off dry, the raspberries and cherries carry through to the palate with a bit of confected sweetness. Light to medium body, there is some viscosity to the mouthfeel, and some acidity to balance the fruit. A bit short, not complex (what ya see is what ya get, no matter how late). But an acceptable summer sipper. I enjoyed it with BBQ'd pork chops topped with a grilled peach and red pepper jelly salsa. Grip it n' sip it! August 2013.
