Beautiful light golden colour with lovely fruit, honey and floral components on the nose. Great wild honey flavours and nice acidity on the palate with good depth of flavour and nice long finish. Tasted Jan 2014.
Unique wine - medium sweet, tasted like apple juice. Difficult to describe, made a great appertif. Recommended.
At 10 years old, the colour resembles a light orange wine. The nose is dominated by very ripe peach with a tinge of volatile alcohol. Still notably sweet with a fine seem of acid to keep it from becoming cloying. The peach flavour carries through the very unique taste where it shows hints of a well aged ice wine early in the finish, and a modest fortified character in the long nutty finish. Good companion to soft cheeses but at this age, too funky to accompany a main course. A (welcomely) weird delight.
