This label is usually a pretty good bet for full bodied, flavourful wines.

This one was in the cellar for a few years and held up well (opened Apr. '12). Dark in the glass with stewed blackberry, smoke and baking spiced on the nose. Full bodied, with lots of spicy fruit flavours and a nice backbone of tannin.

These wines tend to be on the fatter, fruitier side. Though I prefer more old-world styles, I keep a bunch of their Cabernets and Merlots in the cellar as they seem to be crowd pleasers.

A nice cabernet. Best to wait a couple of years, as suggested by the critics.

When the Marques line was released the price was ~$16-$17, and was rock solid in 2005. I found the 2006 to be a little more closed off then in previous years. as the Critic suggests a couple of years to allow it to soften up will help somewhat. Would have rated higher if price was still $17.

Given all the hoopla was quite disappointed with this wine. Long but crappy finish

In one sentence ... plonk of the worst kind!

In a few more .... harsh, tastes like barnyard funk, bitter unintegrated acidity, absolutely no fruit, an extremely poor Cab from Chile.
Returned to the LCBO for a refund.

I can't possibly see how the critics gave this one a 90+ ... surely they're drinking a different bottle?!
