Still a beast at this late date but delicious. Very pronounced wood but classy and balance. Probably at peak, wish I had a few left
Fans of the big and buttery will want to get ahold of this. Golden colour in the glass, the nose features intense aromas of butter, caramel, ripe apple and peach, along with smokey and nutty notes. On the palate, this is a very unctuous wine with good acidity with buttery/nutty notes come to the forefront. The length is excellent. I'd be incredibly happy to drink this with a rich lobster dish or just on its own, as it's almost a meal unto itself. Lovers of this style will be thrilled. Truly an amazing value. Tasted August 2013.
A very nice chardonnay for those whole love a buttery big oak finish. Surprisingly good for a wine that is priced under $20. Tasted August 2013.
Disappointing first bottle, time to drink up.
