Taja Gran Reserva 2001 is a nicely aromatic, light to medium bodied wine, which has integrated notes of raspberry, red currant, coffee, chocolate and cedar. Tannins are refined to tannic (decant for 30 min) and the finish is medium to long. It should last for another 5 or more years, but is at its best now till about 2013. My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 91 pts - would highly recommended it if it was still available. I am just kicking myself for not buying the whole case when I had that chance and only settled for 6 bottles. You must be a real connoisseur to fully appreciate this wine. Tasted July/10.

Hard to find better value from a great vintage year in Spain ****
Sitting in Safari on Avenue Rd, enjoying this lovely wine. The fruit is still very much evident with black cherry and spice. Full bodied with a long finish. Now I really wish I had purchased this one when it came out.
