Opened one last night to celebrate an anniversary of sorts. The experts are right on this one. It is a very large Shiraz but it is not ready for prime time.
After two hours of decanting it tasted far better. Patience is a virtue.
Opened a bottle of the 2006 vintage this week. It was excellent. Still lots of ripe dark fruit, eucalyptus and mint with hint of sage on a long finish. Tannins very fine and well incorporated.
