I decanted at the last minute. Wonderful wine. Long, long finish. 15% was there but the deep flavours made you forget it. March 2014. (Interesting that the WA price shown is $16.95 and I paid $21 last June.)

This red blend from Rohne packs a lot of punch. Very chewy with heavy tannins. Best to decant before serving. A perfect choice to pair with a hearty boeuf bourgignon. Excellent value at $21. Tasted September 2013.

I was looking for a good red that would fit the bill for a weekend bbq at a friend's cottage. After reading Mr. Lawrason's review, I decided that this wine just might fit the bill. Well, it certainly did. This Rhone matched nicely with delicious medium rare grilled steaks, good friends and an equally delicious summer cottage setting. Nicely balanced fruit, integrated tannins, yummy mouthfeel and a lingering finish. Grip it n' sip it. June 2013.

I tasted this straight from the bottle and found it a bit harsh. Then I followed the advice of Kathy and Jason below and gave it a few hours in the decanter. What a difference that made! The dominant taste is raspberry. Very nice. But be sure to decant it.

First sip poured to glass without decanting had me looking at label for alcohol--label declared 15%! However, let rest open awhile and absolute dream with no discernable volatility. Highly recommended.
