The 2009 Sella & Mosca Riserva Cannonau Di Sardegna has intense aromas of dried cherry and wood on the nose and cranberry, red currant and dried cherry on the palate. It is a medium bodied, extra-dry, integrated wine; with forward acidity, refined tannins and a medium to long, woody finish. It is food friendly or can be enjoyed by itself; drink now – 2016+. My impression: NICE to BEAUTIFUL, 89 pts. Tasted Nov/13.

This Grenache is cherry red in the glass, with brick coloured edges showing its maturity. An interesting quaff. It's earthy, has red berry fruit, almost a nib licorice candied sweetness, but the brett is a bit dominant holding back a higher score. Juicy acidity, decent length and some heat. It's quirky character was toned down a bit with decanting. It washed down pizza exceedingly well. Grip it n' sip it! June 2013.
Just fine. Some red fruit mixed with moderate acidity. This definitely needs a little time to open up once poured.
