The 2011 Dover Vineyards Smoke & Gamble Reserve Chardonnay has appealing aromas of light pear and subtle wood. It is a light bodied, extra-dry, fruity wine, with forward acidity and a lingering, woody finish. Drink with food, drink now – 2017. My impression: NOTHING SPECIAL to NICE, 87 pts. Tasted at 'Taste Ontario 2013' http://grapeselections.com/taste-ontario-2013/ in October/13.

Some intriguing notes on the nose – banana, white flowers, vanilla and musk, but the palate falls short offering sour fruit and a thin body. Come on Smoke & Gamble…you can do much better! I haven’t tasted the 2012, but I’m hoping it’s more lush.
