I have been calling this wine my pick for the summer - it's got a nice hint of sweetness while still being dry and it's much fruitier on the palate than I expected with strawberry, raspberry and a touch of peppery spice. I love the nose, which has citrus, red berries, candy apple and spicy cherry. There isn't a lot available apparently, so grab it while you can - it won't disappoint.
The 2012 Chateau Des Charmes Cuvée D'andrée Rosé, composed entirely of Pinot Noir, has appealing aromas of raspberry, citrus and mineral notes on the nose and strawberry and raspberry on the palate. It is a sweeter (dry in LCBO terms), medium bodied, fruity wine, with balanced acidity and a medium, clean finish. This is a food friendly wine or early afternoon refresher; drink while young now to 2015. My impression: NICE, 88 pts. Tasted May/13.

Made of 100% Pinot Noir, this pretty pink sipper offers aromas of red raspberry, Bing cherry and key lime notes. On the palate, red berry fruits and citrus continue, with a slightly bitter pink grapefruit finish and subtle herbaceous note. Fresh and lively with bright acidity, this is a fantastic choice for whiling away the afternoon with a cheese plate, or pairing with a fresh seafood dinner. Terrific value for the price.
