A value-buy Merlot-based Bodeaux. Medium body that is oaky, tannic and dustry, with notes of dried flowers and moderate dark fruit on the palate with a medium to long finish. It is deserving of an hour in the decanter or better yet, a little more time in the bottle to soften it still.
Tasted October 2013.
Fairly well balanced with prominent vanilla notes, but a little acrid and not smooth drinking.
