This is a lovely wine, pale yellow in colour, with brisk acidity, nice balance, and good length. Very good value at $19.95 a bottle. Tasted June 2013.
Pear, honey, citrus, smoke, and minerals in harmony. Delicious acidity. Definite 'spritzed' character (cork kept popping everytime I corked and re-opened). Delicious. Drank it with spicy smoked wild boar tacos and it went wonderfully.
Light color with lots of frizz. Hint of petrol on the initial attack but the changing to orange zest, spices and minerals. On the palate, the oranges are more California naval type with nice minerals and a fine mouth feel. nice finish.
Light floral aromas from the cork. Delicate slate, apricot, peach and hints of honey and lemon rind aromas. Slightly off-dry with a spritz that subdues the sweetness. Flavour notes of slate, beeswax, lemon peel and orange rind. Good acidity and a finish that is long and slatey with a beeswax-tinged finish. Nice! Enjoyed this with one of my favourite Indian comfort foods - homemade chicken curry. Tasted June/2013.
