Earthy aromas and flavours of violet incense, dried leaves, cassis, wet clay, cooking spice and dried herbs. Medium bodied with grippy, maybe slightly green, tannin, this is certainly a wine that calls for protein, but not a bad intro to Bordeaux.
Medium+ ruby in colour with a medium+ intense nose.
A simple entry level Bordeaux wine.
Positives: Light cedar, blackcurrants, cherry, anise, pencil shavings & spinach. Medium to medium+ body and tannins, with average acidity and length.
Negatives: Slightly green in its finish.
Drink now on its own but it would pair better with food such as hamburgers and meatloaf.
