This is a typical smoky, intense fruit pinot noir from Carneros at a great price. I did not notice any heat or bitterness on the finish. No flaws, just great powerful taste. I will pick up some more of these while they last.
This Pinot from Carneros is ruby garnet with garnet edges. It offers aromas of red cherry and red berries along with an earthy character and cinnamon. The palate delivers more fruit, smoke, pepper, oaky mocha and a slight sweetness in a medium bodied frame with medium plus acidity and milder tannins. There's alcohol heat (14.5% ABV) on the very long finish. I managed to procure a 1/2 dozen bottles after the LCBO de-listed this excellent pinot - first big bargain of the year! Jan. 2015.
Highly aromatic with savoury, meaty, beetroot and cherry notes. It's medium-bodied with velvety tannins and nice aroma replays. Balanced acids and long finish. Tasted Oct/2014. Score: 90+ pts
The 2011 Buena Vista Pinot Noir, harvested from Carneros and aged in French and Hungarian Oaks for 12 months, has seductive aromas of smoke, barnyard, black cherry and figs on the nose and cranberry and pomegranate on the palate. It is a medium bodied, dry, fruity wine; with forwards acidity, subtle tannins and a medium finish. This is fruit forward wine is food friendly; drink now and for the next 3-5 years. My impression: NICE, 88-89 pts. Tasted in Oct/14 at 'Tasted at Discover Sonoma County event ' http://grapeselections.com/sonoma-wines-2014/.

A vibrant and enticing nose of cream soda, dried cranberry, rosehips and cornmeal. The palate is quite rich with notes of raisin bread, rose petal and cherry juice, all laying on top of (and almost smothering) the very docile tannins. The acids here are plump and succulent and are more interested in pleasing you now instead of later. This all adds up to a very pleasing and sexy Pinot Noir that is better for the quick party, rather than the long relationship.
Very fruity.
