A fine follow up to Hardie's 2010, this 2011 pinot is a model of finesse allied to deceptive power. It's all silky...

Well for me, it just doesn't get any better for $35 BUCKS. This is a Beautiful expression of Pinot Noir. Lots of fresh wild raspberries and blackberries. Nicely integrated funky earthiness and a seductively suave body. This wine has it all!

Norman Hardies's County pinot is a pretty cherry colour. Generous aromas of red fruit and minerality with a touch of barnyard. On the palate this pinot is light to mid weight offering juicy cherry and red berry fruits, minerality and a supporting seam of acidity. Beautifully balanced, wonderfully elegant with lingering finesse. The tannins seem to be softening making the wine very approachable right now. Feb. 2014.

A wonderful pinot from Prince Edward County's Norman Hardie Winery. Worth picking up a few to add to the cellar. Tasted September 2013.

The Norman Hardie 2011 County Pinot Noir has intense aromas of pomegranate, raspberry, subtle cedar and smoke on the nose and strawberry, raspberry and vanilla on the palate. It is a medium bodied, extra-dry (though perceived as dry), fruity wine, with good acidity, refined tannins and a long, silky finish. Although food friendly, enjoy this beauty by itself; drink now and watch it evolve for the next 5-7 years. Rated at 92 pts, this is a highly recommended (based on quality and value) wine. Tasted at ‘County in the City’ (see http://grapeselections.com/county-in-the-city/) in Apr/13.

Tasted this on the weekend at the winery. I usually love Norman's Pinot's so wasn't surprised to love this vintage too. One of Ontario's best Pinots! It's a little lighter vintage, but has complexity and finesse. I bought a few bottles, so was happy when I looked online here to see the critics agreed with my assessment. ;)
