jy .rf .very good 92pts
A smooth, complex wine for the price. In agreement with the smokey, savoury, floral expression described above. Rich, creamy, with plum, bacon fat, pepper and sweet herbs.
A recommend choice for those who enjoy the French GSM blends.
Tasted April 2013.
Floral and dark fruity greetings are the preamble to this easy to sip GSM blend. I paired it with a juicy burger with roasted red peepers, asparagus, brie cheese and Dijon mustard... LOVELY!
Not overly deep or complex, but extremely smooth, reasonably flavourful and very accessible for such a high % of Grenache. Enjoyable & good deal
Blend of 50% Syrah, 30% Grenache, and 20% Mourvèdre. It was raised in stainless steel tanks and bottled unfiltered. Fragrant earthy, smoky, savoury, meaty nose accented by peppery spice, black cherry, and touches of floral aromas. It is almost full bodied on the lively palate with savoury dark cherry, mineral, smoke, garrigue, blackberry flavours. Acids are still quite fresh, while firm, gritty tannins are chalky and drying. Garrigue, pepper, savoury, and mineral notes linger on the fine, long finish. A pleasure to drink, but tannins are starting to overpower the fruit. Tasted Oct. 2018.
Dark, rich blackberry fruit, with prominent notes of herbs, meat, and pepper. Good structure, though it seemed to me to be quite approachable now. A red loaded with regional character. Tasted April 2013.
A deep ruby in the glass with a fairly closed nose of plum and coffee. Nice plum fruit with firm tannins and a coffee note in the mouth. Still youthful. Needs some time.
