Another lovely 2009 Bordeaux!
Dark ruby in colour with a medium to medium+ nose.
A nice mid level Boudreaux from Médoc at a moderate price.
Positives: Cedar, cassis, blackcurrants, turmeric, pencil shavings, cherry, arugula and leather. Medium+ body with medium+ tannins, good acidity and a long length.
Negatives: None
This is more of a food friendly wine than for drinking on its own so pair with prime rib. Drink now on or over the next 3 years.

Out of 5 stars, I rated this wine: 3.5+
This wine sits dark ruby in the glass with a tinge of purple and magenta at the edges. This blend reveals red and dark fruit. Fitting that it is an old world wine in that it mirrors Euro Union finance ministers with its initial austerity. But after some coaxing (decanting) it opens up nicely. Some complexity here with decent acidity, good structure and balance. Alcohol persists on the medium length finish. Initial "meh" impression gave way to "pretty good" after the second glass. March 2013.
