A nice introduction to basic Bordeaux. The nose has aromas of cassis and blackberry, cedar, and a hint of herbaceousness. On the palate, this wine has medium-high acidity with grippy tannins and has medium length on the finish. Not the most complex of wines and it could definitely benefit from a few years in the cellar to soften up, but it's a nice, inexpensive wine to drink with steak or lamb. Tasted March 2013.
