Hot and fruity. Not much character but easily quaffable. This should be much cheaper than it is. (It's around 9 bucks in the States). Good with many foods. Great with all things BBQ. My wife's standard 'house' wine. For 2 bucks more you could try a Cline Ancient Vine Zinfandel..a bit softer and a bit more character.
Inoffensive Zin that is mild on the fruit - not jammy like classic Napa/Sonoma Zins can be. 2007 was a dry year, which should have meant blends like this would be less peppery and more juicy. Unfortunate that it is more expensive here than in California - that's a state-run liquor monopoly for you.
