The 2011 Mission Hill Reserve Chardonnay has appealing aromas of light citrus and light apricots. It is a light to medium bodied, extra-dry, fruity wine, with good acidity and a medium, clean finish. Drink with food, drink now – 2016. My impression: NICE, 89 pts. Tasted September/13.

Partially fermented in American oak and has crisp tropical fruit and citrus aromas of medium intensity from the glass. Medium-bodied with lively acidity. Palate is fruit-forward and brings poached pear and tropical fruits, with light hints of butter and oak. Long, clean, lemony finish. Tasted Sept/2013.

The aromas of this wine are hint at tropical fruits, however, on the palate, this white is dominated by cirtus flavours (lemon, tart oranges). Some definite minerality in the flavour profile as well as well as a good backbone of acidity. Oak is well in the backrgound. In short, a cool climate Chardonnay, and a well-made one at that. Tasted Dec 2013.
