Notes are from the 2008 vintage, purchased from south of the border. Recognizably nebbiolo, with notes of red cherries, sour cherries and dried fruit. Approachable tannin, fine acidity as one would expect, why wasn't I wowed? Somehow, this wines seemed a bit simple, with an odd sweetness that tastes out of place (especially for such a traditional producer). This is a good wine, but I just never quite warmed to it. Drink now or over the next few years. Tasted April 2015.
