My notes are from the 2003 vintage. Ripe sweet red cherry, with hints vanilla and dried fruit. While very little iof the wine was aged in small barriques, I do sense a bit of oak on the palate, though it does not detract. Still some firm tannin on the finish. A very good Barolo, especially considering the heat of the vintage. For drinking now, but should hold several more years. Tasted February 2015.
