Deep golden colour in the glass, the wine has incredible aromatics that range from stone fruit and pineapple (more towards dried than fresh), ginger, and floral notes. On the palate, it's dry with refreshingly high acidity and quite viscous with the stone fruit and spice jumping out. It's got nice length, though I found the finish to be a little bitter. Definitely a head-turner of a wine though at a spectacular price. It needs to be paired with similarly intensely flavoured foods, such as a Southeast Asian-spiced fish dish. Tasted March 2013.
Nicely fruity, aromatic, with a pleasant acidic bite.
