What's not to enjoy here. Big and juicy but with structured tannins. There's a lot going on from fruits, flowers, meats, dark roast and earthy notes. It's really a meal all on its own.
Description: Medium+ ruby in colour with a medium to medium+ intensity on the nose.
Positives: An easy drinking wine featuring light oak, violets, black cherry, plums, pipe tobacco, blackberry, Allspice, white and black pepper, oyster mushrooms and cured meat. Medium body with medium to medium+ tannins, good acidity and a fairly long length.
Negatives: None
Interesting Point: In Vintages now.
Drink now or over the next 2-3 years on its own or pair it with a lightly pepper dusted pork chop, soothed with balsamic blueberry reduction.

Opaque purple/plum colour.
Low to med. intensity nose of cured meat, smoke, violets, blackberry, and dark cherry.
Dry, full body, med. plus tannin. Violets, smoke, blackberry, underbrush, cured meat, and cherry. Long length.
Aromas of dark fruits, mushroom smoked meat, and violet. More dark fruits and violet on the palate, plus blackberry notes. Full-bodied with grippy tannins that are a bit tight. Could use 1-2 years to unwind. Smooth, medium-long finish that's well-balanced. Tasted Feb/2013.
