A very nice, approachable bottle of Cahors. Lots of blackberry, black cherry, anise, and floral notes on the nose. Medium-full bodied with medium acidity and tannins and a long finish, it's much more crowd-friendly than many other from the region. Very tasty and a terrific value, plus a fun introduction for those who think malbec is strictly Argentinian. Tasted April 2013.

It's only wine but I like it

Ripe, approachable and richly fruited Cahors, without veering into over-ripeness. Dark berry fruits dominate the flavour profile with no oak noted. Solid structure, balanced acidity, solid finish. Very good wine and thoroughly enjoyable. Fine value indeed. Tasted April 2013.

Very approachable aromas of blackberry, ripe plum and a hint if anise. The palate veers to dark cherry. Medium-full bodied, medium acidity and some mildly-grippy tannins. Nice concentration and length.
