A forward, very fruity and spicy, vegetal and floral, bold but certainly not subtle blend here from Emiliana's...

Extremely enjoyable bottle at an excellent price. The nose is very fruit forward with dark berry aromas, along with dark chocolate, coffee bean, and a herbaceous note (tomato leaf stands out). On the palate, it's medium-full body with medium acidity and soft tannins and a surprisingly long finish that shows off the black fruit notes. Really nice bottle of wine, plus it's organically farmed. Go get one and drink with a nice rich red meat dish or lay down for a couple years. Tasted February 2013

Dark plums, blueberries, with some of that herbaceous note typical of Carmenere (I like the tomato leaf idea previously mentioned). Very rich and dense on the palate. Just enough tannin to give some structure, and low acidity. The finish is substantial with dark fruits and a hint of pencil lead at the end. Solid fruit forward wine, very enjoyable.

The wine shows much better with a slight chill (around 16 degrees). Over 20 degrees and the fruit is masked by overtly savoury and bitter notes, so keep that in mind.

Probably expected too much, being a fan of some great Colchagua Valley offerings. However, this is a nice, enjoyable wine, form the fruity nose to a long finish... I must say, though, that the acidity and tannins were not quite as balanced as others have found it...
