Probably my most favourite Whiskey
Overrated.
Generic; neutral; "luxury" bar-brand whiskey.
For an 18 yr single malt over $100, this should be bottled at cask strength. ALWAYS.
Hints of (fresh-- not smoked or cured) oak, honey and spice dominate on the palate. Nuances of oloroso wood are present but far too weak at this stage. Mellow, warm, smooth & fairly clean finish. This scotch will not offend an inexperienced scotch drinker. I assume it's a suitable spirit of choice for high-level executives who are attempting to over-awe associates and clients without knowing anything about what's impressive.
