Bright, juicy, and incredibly tasty. Alvaro Palacios has delivered up another well made wine that get some people to rethink what Spanish wine is all about. The nose is dominated by plum, raspberry, and cherry, along with a slight herbaceous and cedar notes (reminded me of a good Cru Beaujolais). Tannins are slightly grippy with acidity that keeps it nice and fresh and the finish goes on and on. Really enjoyed this one. Tasted November 2012
Prunes, blackberries, and herbs on the nose. It has lots of ripe fruit (very juicy), softening tannin, and is light-to-medium bodied. Feels a bit overblown in the end though - not sure if it will keep together structurally in the long-term. Drink now.
