This merlot exceeded my expectations. It is refined, elegant, smooth, rounded and balanced. Nice fruit with silky tannins and good acidity that comes together in a well co-ordinated package. Excellent length. Just like my wife in a sleek sequined evening gown. Yum! Grip it n' sip it! April 2013.
The 2010 Rosewood Estates Merlot, aged in French Oak for 13 months, is a medium bodied, fruity wine, with intense aromas of raspberry jam, prune, oak, coconut and vanilla. It has refined tannins (decant for 15-30 min) and a long, sweet-vanillin finish. This wine can be enjoyed as a standalone sipper and will compliment food as well; drink now or cellar for 5+ years. My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 90 pts – well priced for $22.00 and hence a recommended buy. Tasted Oct/12.

Sweet core of fruit aromas along with mulberry and hints of cocoa. Bright acidity with raspberry, cocoa on the palate. Tannins are very well-integrated and has a delicious, long finish. Tasted Oct/2012.
There are lots of wonderful tastes here, as said in the Critic Reviews. But, while it improved with time, it never got smooth enough to quite rate a ninety, or really be worth the money. But then, maybe smoothness is more important to me than for others.
