Complex, smooth and crisp. Notable oak and cherry pallet. Some heat with a smooth and long-lasting finish. Lots of berries and cherries.
Aggressive in its youth but smooth and classy with some time; I typically let the Bin 28 cellar for 3-5 years after purchase.
Expect a full bodied but balanced dose of black fruit, spice and smoke. This is a big wine but it is not over-extracted. Very enjoyable with grilled meat on a special occasions. Tasted Nov 2012
Deep purpled-ruby colour and an intense nose of black plum and stewed berries. The palate is full-bodied, with plush fruit, and a hint of cracked black pepper. The tannins are on the softer side and the finish is pleasant and of good length. Oct 2012.
