Dark ruby in colour with medium intense nose.

High quality wine that’s smooth, delicious & under $15

Positives: This wine shows rustic earthy flavours like cedar, Champagne mushrooms, spice box, black tea, olives, mingled with violets, cherry and plums. Medium body and tannins with good acidity a fairly long length.

Negatives: None

Interesting Notes: I love the smoky black bottle that is reminiscent of vintage port bottles.

Drink now on its own or pair it with cured meats.

Med ruby/purple colour. Plum, blackberry and earthy aromas with similar flavours and a bit of leather added. Some bitterness on finish. Well balanced. Good fruit.

Loaded with fruit and mocha without being overbearing. Acids and tannins support the lushness nicely. Finish is quite long. A quite delicious easy going red and nice value.

Surprisingly good for under $15. Mellow and leathery with plum. Not so fruity with a good amount of tannins. Not as complex as I might like. Reminds me of a used bookstore, in a good way.

The nose is everything with this wine.
Excellent with your mothers spaghetti meat sauce. You'll be looking for seconds on both counts.
