I love Cabernet Franc!

Very stylish and elegant wine.

Garnet color in the glass.

Lovely aromas of raspberries, spices. Light tannins and smooth acidity. Medium bodied, medium finish with floral notes.

I had this wine with various meat terrines. It was great pairing!

Giddee up. A wine that exceeded my expectations.
Definitely a re-purchase.
I think I need to slide a half dozen of these into my inventory when I am looking for a scrumptious delicious smooth long finish wine that is not my typical heavy full-bodied go to.

Fantastic deal on a really nice Cab Franc. Nice fresh, sweet nose of strawberry, mint, flowers and some baking spice. Mouth watering palate of sweet raspberries, tart cranberry some peppery spice. Really nice. Medium body, bright acidity, balanced tannin, nice finish. I bought a bunch of these, wish I bought more. This drinks well with all manner of foods.

The 2009 Les Vignoles Terroirs Et Lieu Dieu De Loire Saumur Champigny, composed of 100% Cabernet Franc, is a light to medium, integrated wine, with appealing aromas of cherry, black cherry, dark chocolate and faint cedar. It has a nice acidity, subtle to refined tannins (decant for 30-60 min) and a medium finish. It is ready to drink now and should be for the next 3-5 years. Drink-how: this wine is meant to be drunk with food. My impression: NICE, 89 pts. Tasted Aug/12.

Really juicy Cab Franc with tons of raspberry on the nose and palate. Mild peppercorn and greeness add some spice to this classic and elegant Saumur. A perfect bistro wine as it is very crushable for a red and the earth to fruit balance will allow it to pair with endless vegetable and meat dishes. Lovely finesse for the price and definite bottle to purchase again. Drink over next 12-18 months. Tasted Sept '12
