Medium to lighter bodied red as one would expect from a normale Chianti Classico. Bright red cherry fruit with good strucutre and lively acidity. Pure Tuscany. No over-manipulation, just an honest to goodness Chianti. Most enjoyable. Tasted March 2013.
JS sounds right, but I find the acidity overpowers the fruit mid-palate. The finish is a combination of the over-generous acidity and the tannins (if dusty means 'kinda dry and bitter' then dusty it is).
Nice stuff...just a little lean on the fruit.
