Agree with the pros.
The feature that stood out was the slightly bitter tannic turn near the end of the taste.
I imagine this might mellow in a year or two.
My notes are for the '09, picked up at Marketview wines in Rochester for $13.99. Medium-to medium-light bodied, with pure, vibrant cherry/currant fruit. A bit earthy, with zesty acidity and fine tannin. Oak is virtually invisible. In short, what I expect in a Chianti. A fine authentic Tuscan red at a great price. Wonder why the LCBO can't price it so cheaply (oh yeah, its a monopoly, it doesn't have to be cheap). Tasted Dec 2012.
