Miamba is a single vineyard in southern Barossa near Lyndoch. This pours deep ruby-purple. The nose is heady and rich...

Bought this on clearance in 2015 for $10, not sure where they found the box. I picked up 3 and tried 1. Went back for the case the next day but it was gone. Nice heavy duty Shiraz, decant carefully at this point. 90 +

A full-bodied purpled style with blackberry jam, black cherry, hints of clove and black pepper. The palate has light acidity and grippy tannin. The density of fruit hints imparts perceived off-dry sweetness. Nice length with a dark chocolate finish. Nov 2012

Decent Shiraz but may benefit from another 2 -3 years in the cellar. Tasted January 2013.

The 2010 Grant Burge Miamba Shiraz, sourced from 20 year old vines and then aged in French Oak for 12 months; has appealing aromas of lees, blackberry and black cherry on the nose and blackberry, raspberry, coconut, vanilla and oak on the palate. It is a full bodied, extra-dry/dry, fruity wine; with good acidity, refined tannins and a medium finish. Drink with food or sip on its own; drink now – 2018+. My impression: NICE, 88-89 pts. Tasted at Australia Today 2014 Trade show http://grapeselections.com/australian-wine/ in Feb/14.

The overly aggressive licorice flavours take away from an otherwise decent wine. Strong black fruit are a bit off balance from the strong french oak. Overall however pretty much what you should expect from a Barossa Shiraz and not bad value at $21.95.
